New Camera and Revived Love for Photography

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 3, 2009, 4:55 AM

Right. So. My old camera. I love it, really do. But, the guy at the shop said, "Dood, wtf? This thing has seen better days."

So getting it fixed, tuned up, or whatever the hell they do was kinda out of the question. I've had that camera since freshmen year of high school and it was getting to the point were it wouldn't focus correctly, wouldn't judge light correctly and the quality of the shots was becoming gradually worse. So, I decided to get a new camera. Ended up going with a Nikon and you know what, omg. Amazing. Was kinda expensive and it really left a hole in my wallet, but dood, worth it.
For the longest time it always bugged the living crap out of me that my photos didn't come out anything like I wanted to. Part of that was my short comings and I worked quite hard correct those. But, unfortunately, part of that was largely due to my failing equipment. I didn't know the damn difference until I took this baby out for a spin and the performance I got from it was everything I had wanted and dreamed of. Needless to say, I have alot of shooting I need to do. And yes, sooooo excited to do so >:P

Street photography is NOT a photograph of an empty street, traffic lights or graffiti. If you want to find out what street photography is really about check out the The Yard Collective [link]

All things come to an end. But its not the end that counts, its how we get there.
